You may have noticed some new faces in our Prepared Foods and Catering departments at the CO-OP. With some recent personnel transitions, Ross and Danielle Scofield are the CO-OP’s guest chefs over the holidays. These two experienced chefs are the owners of Farmacy, the popular brunch restaurant in West Philadelphia. Both have been trained at the Walnut Hill Restaurant School, and are strong advocates of healthy, sustainable food sources. Their successful restaurant is a from-scratch, farm-to-table establishment, and their skills and cooking philosophy are a great fit for the Swarthmore CO-OP, where they have been members and shoppers for years. Please stop by and sample some of the great new dishes you’re seeing in our Prepared Foods case, and say hello to Ross and Danielle. They are in our kitchens several days a weeks, and are eager to know you.
